MADONNA WATCH :: LUV YOU

THE ANTICIPATION OF PHILY :: The fifteenth in a series as we count down to Madonna’s new album release. The music video for “Give Me All Your Luvin’” featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A will be released in its entirety on Madonna’s YouTube channel this Friday, February 3rd.

THIS IS THE FIRST MADONNA MUSIC VIDEO IN FOUR YEARS, Y’ALL.

American Idol will be previewing a clip of the video the night before to entice the audience (gays), and as pure marketing genius will have it, the single will be released exclusively to iTunes the next day, as well as the pre-order of the album (to be released March 26th), and a limited-edition remix.

Pardon me while I wipe away my orgasm and enjoy this playlist, Madonna :: The Celebration we created on Rdio:

Philip Tetro is our resident Madonnaologist. He’s created a religion-based lifestyle, worshipping everything she’s ever done. You can also catch him as a regular panelist on MTV Canada’s 1 girl 5 gays and read his non-Madonna blog here.

I’M JUST SAYING…

Well I’ve gone and done it. I’ve animated myself which, ironically, is what my trainer’s been trying to do with me since April! LOL. But seriously, I’ve got a brand new “animated comic strip” called Just Sayin’ with Richard Ryder:

I’ve got more coming up in the new year so let me know what you think!

NUIT BLANCHE – At Last!

This exhibit, from 2009, is called 'Please Do Not Disturb'

It has finally happened people!  This is the year!  FINALLY I’m in Toronto to witness and participate in the Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, an event that sweeps Toronto off it’s feet year after year.  The event takes over Toronto this Saturday night.

Yes, that’s right, I’m a Nuit Blanche virgin, always arriving back in Toronto after the event only to hear how amazing it was.  I’ve heard that the event is so large it can be overwhelming, so I’ve been doing some pre-planning and thought I’d share some of what I’ve learned if you’re in the same boat.

You can check out what the different artists are planning to do at Nuit Blanche on YouTube .  Agnes Winter stands out in my mind.  She’s from Paris, has done similar exhibitions around the world and will definitely make you smile if you are in front of the Holt Renfrew building the night of Nuit Blanche.

Naturally, Nuit Blanche is on Facebook (great pics from previous Nuit Blanche events!) and Twitter (I imagine everyone out Saturday night will be Tweeting pics like no one’s business)

To avoid feeling overwhelmed by ALL of what’s going on, organizers have smartly put information centres in all 3 of the ‘zones’.  Zone A being Yonge & Bloor.  Zone B at Yonge & Dundas.  And Zone C at the Bay Adelaide Centre.

This year, Scotiabank Nuit Blanche wants you to throw in your own two cents, asking you to cast your vote for your Scotiabank People’s Choice favourite art project at any of the 3 information centres.  Check out the art projects all over town, then vote online, in person or at the info centres.  You get a chance of winning an iPad or a $100 Pre-Paid Visa Card – and the artist with the most votes walks away with $5,000.  Get all the voting details here!

Also, this year, Nuit Blanche is sponsoring the Creative Works Studio at St. Michael’s Hospital.  This studio acts as a safe place for creative expression for people living with a mental illness.   To find check out some of the art work, find information about other events and to make a donation, go to their really cool website.

Now that I know all that I do, I can’t believe I waited so long to do it!  See you out there!

Who knew I’d enjoy the Olympics?!

Well, while most of the country was mourning the loss of Canada’s chance at gold in the Men’s Downhill, I was celebrating the inventor of Spandex! Seriously, I’m a fan of anything that highlights the male form, that’s why I like football. I don’t follow football you understand, I just like it. A lot! And when I say “the male form” I mean the adult male form. Like  the adult male forms of the men’s downhill ski teams! Did you see ‘em? All those hot beefy boys giving that mountain they’re all, making it their bitch, riding it hard and angry only to collapse at it’s foot exhausted and quivering, which you could really notice in those tight little “eye catchers” they’re calling uniforms let me tell you! Especially that Bode Miller! He had me ringing bells I didn’t even know I owned! Did you note that camera angle on him before his run? “Nice cock on ya Bode!” Seriously! I couldn’t take my eyes off it! It’s huge! The weight of it alone either helped him take Bronze or got in the way of taking Gold. Either way, I think he wins! But don’t take my word for it … youtube it up!  Oh yeah, and go Team Canada!
