I don’t care what anyone says I love Sheen in all his party glory. Damn! If he asked me to a party I’d go, why not? Wouldn’t you?
I love/loved (We’ll see what happens) him on Two and a Half Men. I love his voice; yes it’s sexy. And overall I love his social media strategy; raw, rough, in your face with the middle finger, yet powerfully honest, but also very statically executed.
I competed to be his Social Media Intern. Yes I was one of those you heard about as of late. I ingested a lot of #TigerBlood yet I only made it to round 3. I failed en route to round 4.
I know my social media, after-all I write for GGT and we all know Shaun Proulx would probably be better suited for Sheen’s Social Paid Machine than I, but hey I gave it a shot, I have nothing to lose, but a lot to gain.
Round 3 required me to answer one of three questions and film it. Let me tell you this process was no joke. The questions were:
1. If you were the Social Media Director for a major humanitarian aid organization, how would you create awareness and raise money via social media in the aftermath of a global disaster?
2. In your opinion, what is the best company using social media today and why?
3. How would you advise a candidate running for public office to leverage social media in his or her campaign for election?
I picked number two which I felt was less political of the three. As I look back, I realize I left out components of social media that I ended up re-teaching myself, a refresher course if you will.
Even though I didn’t make it to round 4, it’s all good in the social media hood cuz I learned to sit back, chill, think and then win.
