A Very Maha Pride!

It’s okay, you can admit it: You’ve always secretly loved the idea of spending Pride with ME.  It feels better to let that out, right?  Great news!  Now you can spend Pride with me – at least a few hours.  But they ARE at night … ;)

Turning Off “The Shame Of Toronto”

Used to be that when it came to 103.9 Proud FM, I was like Annie Wilkes, the station’s #1 fan.  I listened all day, and was often on The Shaun Proulx Show (hey, wonder if he will have me on his TV version still?)  But ever since “gay radio” fired it’s gay stars including Shaun, Mark Wigmore, Patrick Marano and Deb Pearce without cause, my dial is tuned elsewhere and I’m with the growing number of outraged protesters over on the Facebook page, Proud FM – The Shame of Toronto.

Call me crazy, but I expect better treatment of our gay allies from a supposed gay radio station.  Now where’s my axe?

Gentlemen and gentlemen, step right up! Using my own body as example, watch as I strip down to show how everyone needs to get to the gym in advance of Toronto Pride. (You know I’m kidding, right? Or am I?)

Aging, Madonna, And Oil Of Olay

Believe it or not, I actually arrived early to The Shaun Proulx Show yesterday in advance of my fellow GGT blogger Andrew Vail for our on-air debate (okay, it was a chat) on his recent Middle Edge post.  I’m never early.  Ever.  Being the opportunist he is, Shaun took full advantage of this Hailey’s Comet occurrence and got me to do an extra segment on their Poll Of The Day, aging.  Who ages?  Here it is:

Haydain Neale

Two men dominate Toronto today: Haydain Neale and Tom Ford.  Ford’s film debut, A Single Man, will be screened for VIPs at The Varsity tonight, followed by a star-studded fundraising tribute concert to the late great Jacksoul frontman.  I dropped by The Shaun Proulx Show in advance to talk about both.
