Hairspray


We met at a party and quickly became friends. I immediately had the hots for him. I had asked him out earlier in the year but he said he just wanted to be friends. It was an August night and we went to see the movie Hairspray. We were walking home and I just couldn’t take it anymore; I wanted him. I wanted to be with him, even if it was just for the night. Is it all in our heads?


Are uncut guys more open minded?

I think most queer guys talk about whether they’re cut or uncut and about the status of guys they have been with. My friends and I were all born in the 80’s, when the practice of circumcising infant boys started to decline. So, my sense is that we are pretty evenly divided in terms of our own status and our partners’. The interesting thing though is I have only been with one or two cut guys. Read the full story

My Best Move


Home, enough said.  You’re going to hear me complain about the lack of physical accessibility on Church Street and rant about attitudes and assumptions that also keep me out in the cold. You might wonder if I like Toronto at all. The truth is I absolutely adore this city. I have felt more integrated and accepted here than I ever did in the other two cities I’ve called home. From the day I moved here, I felt like this is where I belonged. I didn’t realize how deep those feelings were though until a few weeks ago, when I considered leaving. Read the full story
