I didn’t choose the title for the movie ‘Eddie Stone: Superstar’.  Had I chosen the title it would’ve been something more like ‘Eddie Stone: Untouchable Red Hot Mega Ultra Shooting Star’… or something a little more catchy.

Wow.  Wow.  Wow.  What great timing the universe has.  Not only am I deep in talks and discussions about my new website extraordinaire AND filming my porn star reality show with OUTtv in the coming summer months, but Chi Chi LaRue in her infinite wisdom has deemed it time to release an Eddie Stone best of.

Recently, very out-of-the-closet and very outspoken actor Sir Ian McKellan slammed professional sports players, organizations, fans and the overall establishment for being homophobic. He made his comments on a BBC radio show a few weeks after Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas came out of the closet.

In the interview, when it comes to homosexuality, McKellan said that sports stars “become little shrinking violets because they’re afraid, probably, of being booed from the terraces, and that must be a horrible experience and shame on people who do it.” While some people might think he’s making queer political hay, he’s actually right on point with his point. “When mom comes to visit you next week, what are you going to tell her you do?” asked my brother on the other end of the line from Montreal. I skirted the subject by making a joke, but wondered how much my brother had figured out on his own.

I was just back from Italy. We had shot “When In Rome”, and my pockets were flush with cash. Mom’s visit to L.A. went off without a hitch.  ”How’s the bar?” she’d ask. I told her I was bar backing and go go dancing at a couple of bars in West Hollywood. What? Don’t give me that look, it’s not so far off the truth! That’s how I got discovered by Chi Chi LaRue, while go go dancing at Micky’s!

Anyway, she left L.A. happy in the knowledge that I was doing alright for myself, if not totally aware of how I was achieving it. And doing well for myself I did. I continued on as a Rascal Exclusive for Chi Chi, traveling Europe and the United States, picking up awards and nominations all over the place, modeling for Tom Ford, T.V. interviews, books, magazines and even my own dildo!

Now what? I had a decision to make. Years had gone by, and I had achieved more than what most porn stars ever do. I needed to continue to grow, and the only way to do that was by moving home to Canada. I wasn’t abandoning the industry, but I needed a shift in my life. I had done a radio interview as Eddie Stone with Shaun Proulx of The Shaun Proulx Show on 103.9 PROUD FM in Toronto. PROUD FM is the world’s first and only queer commercial radio station. People have always told me I had a voice for radio, so I decided to move to Toronto and look up PROUD FM to see what could come of it.

I thought that the move away from L.A. and the pursuit of other avenues, like radio, would end the eternal questioning of “Are you going to tell your mom?”

I would never have guessed that a move home would force me to face and answer that question once and for all!

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes Micky’s in West Hollywood is ready to resume it’s position as an L.A. gay destination and the home of our beloved ‘Cocktails with the Stars’.  Micky’s holds a special place in my heart.  When I was a sprig of a boy, new to L.A., it was Micky’s that took me in. 

Every Happy Hour I served a delicious buffet of pizza, salads and pasta stuffs to hungry and horny patrons as they ogled the gyrating go go boys.  My go go break came one day when someone didn’t show up for work.  Up I went, on a go go box to shake it for all of West Hollywood to see.  I became a regular fixture as a Micky’s go go boy until Chi Chi LaRue spotted me dancing one Thursday night during a steamy sexy ‘Cocktails’ session.

Next thing I know, I’m strokin’ it online for Live & Raw.  Chi Chi knew she had something good and signed me as a Rascal Video Exclusive.  I then graced the ‘Cocktails’ stage a few times with Jason Sechrest at the helm.

But a new era is dawning.  With Scott Boardman grabbing the reins, Micky’s and ‘Cocktails with the Stars’ are back in full frontal force, and this porn star couldn’t be happier!!

Hey! I’m excited to join the ranks of GGT writers with ‘Stone Fox’ my new blog about my continuing adventures in the world of gay porn. I used to visit this site all the time to keep up on gay life in this city!

As many of you know, I’ve been L.A.-based for seven years even though I was born in Montreal. I moved back to Canada in 2008 and have some exciting sexy projects lined up, this blog being one of them. Stay tuned for more details!
The last week has had some excitement to it. The GayVN Awards are held annually to celebrate the cream of the crop of the gay adult entertainment industry. And it’s nice to know I’ve still got it! The script I wrote for Chi Chi LaRue’s Rascal Video entitled “Unknown” was up for three awards, including one for myself for BEST SCREENWRITER.

I didn’t attend, but waited until the next morning after the awards to check for any news. And …. Nothing. No update at all on the GayVN website.

What is it with homos? Who’s steering the pornship? Is no one at the helm? Stop partying long enough to get that cock out of your mouth and post the winner’s names online for the rest of us to see! Not that winning is all that important, it is truly an honour just being nominated. When it comes down to picking the winner, too often politics get in the way. But hey, I’m not complaining, it may have been just that, politics, that lead to my double win as BEST NEWCOMER in 2005 at the GayVN & the Grabby Awards. Awards aside, after many successful years in L.A., I’m back home in Toronto, re-launching my website www.eddiestoneonline.com, and anxious to show the world how fuckin’ sexy Canadian men really are!
