The other day I was taking a shower while I left the internet radio playing [my apologies Proud FM, but it wasn’t you….if I only you could stream you through my Apple TV – the device that connects your computer to your tv and sound system].
As I pulled the curtain, the über cheery — like quick I’m going into diabetic shock — song by the Brady Bunch, Sunshine Day, was emanating from the living room. It seemed a little surreal as I dried off to this cheery little camp tune from the 70s as if suddenly the LSD I had done in the 80s was resurging in a flashback.
They warned us about flashbacks in our school “Just Say No” campaign but I didn’t believe them.
Another reason for a metaphorical “Sunshine Day” is my next topic of my baby website I gave partial birth to last December.
On April 1st PositiveLite.Com , a light-hearted take on poz living, will be going live with a new look as part of a hard launch – moving it out of its beta phase.
On Thursday PositiveLite.Com will not only introduce a new look, which will be constantly evolving in the future as my mind tinkers away with different ideas, but also will be officially published under auspices of Shauln Proulx Media.
For the few who don’t know, Shaun is building a little media empire – and I’m saying colonize me away baby. It’s a great fit as he has, GayGuideToronto.Com, HIMBO, ShaunProulx.ca, Proud FM’s The Shaun Proulx Show, and the Out TV’s of The Shaun Proulx Show, and my guess is that is just the beginning.
Shaun has accomplished so much, and always admired his ability to not only make it happen for himself, maintain such a sense of groundedness along the way.
It really is an honour to be able to collaborate on this project. I maintain what I’ve always been doing, while we harness synergies to help each other out. With this hard launch, I’ll be part of a great team. And let’s not mention the tremendous opportunity to learn and grow from some of the best people around.
There are some exciting new additions to the site. Michael Burtch from Ottawa, the next generation of youth AIDS activist. He’s young, cute and very single as pronounced in his “fab boy” appearance – fab magazine’s feature of single gay men, where he made sure his HIV status was public in his profile.

Jade Eleckra DJ Relentless
In addition, DJ Renlentless is a major talent who has relocated from NYC to Toronto. Besides being a sweetheart, he’s a great DJ playing locally at Gladaman’s Den, George’s Play, and the Barn. His alter ego “Jade Eleckra” is not only glamorous, but also has a few underground recording hits under her belt such as “Bitch you look fierce.” If you are lucky, you’ll get to see her perform live. I’d like to give a special welcome to Toronto.
Tonight, Tuesday, March 30th DJ Relentless begins as resident DJ @ George’s Play.
There isn’t enough space to mention everyone. Come join me on my “Sunshine Day” metaphorically speaking and visit me at PositiveLite.Com
